Replying to Need ice, make pykrete!
Pykrete is 14% wood pulp and 86% water by weight, when frozen, it forms a solid that takes much longer than pure ice to melt, the coolest thing is that the consistancy and strenght of the pykrete is that of solid concrete. I just made some, and chucked it at a brick wall as fast as I could, NOTHING happened to it. I used toilet paper as the wood pulp. Might be hard to make without a scale. I think the best thing to use is a very fine sawdust.
