The Greatest Concert EVER!

Monday night I was handed the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the one and only Sir Paul McCartney. After reading the 'greatest music decade post' I think everyone here needs to step back and recognize that Paul McCartney and the Beatles changed music forever. They were pioneers and innovators that changed music forever. Anyways you all may be thinking that the guy is 63 fucking years old, and probably can't even carry a tune, but he rocked the fuck out. It was the most energetic concert I have ever seen, ever. The entire audience was on their feet throughout the entire 3 hour rock-n-roll production. He plays lighter rock than any band out these days, but he still plays them with more power and drive than any other concert. I highly recommend you check his tour out, its absolutely incredible.

The Beattles really didn't do shit for music in itself, they did a lot for the music industry, but they were hardly groudbreaking. They just happened to be a band that made a lot of #1s

I'm not a big fan of the Beatles, but I would really like to see them while I can if there is a stop anywhere near me(highly unlikely). It would just be awesome to see one of the pioneers of rock and roll while I had the chance since every rock band now has at least some influence from them, save for the shitty punk bands.

I agree, while I wouldn't dub it best ever, he was very entertaining and energetic. I saw him on his last tour and was quite pleasantly surprised, Live and Let Die was more rockin than Guns and Roses version which was surprising.

And for people who said the Beatles didn't do anything for music, you are a moron.

yeah i saw him on his last tour and live and let die was pretty energetic, i really hope my dad is taking me on this tour seeing as there is no way i can pay for a ticket

In respones to lateralis and ski-hobo: The Beatles actually did change music and set the industry standard from the 60's on. They didn't just 'happen' to have a bunch of #1 hits, they earned them with amazing writing, and all of them were released within a 10 year period. The Beatles were actually the first rock-n-roll band ever. You may not believe it, but in its day 'Twist and Shout' was considered hard rock. If you don't believe that, check out Helter Skelter, which is in fact very hard rock. They also revolutionized the industry by using Les Paul's ideas for multi-track recording, allowing them a minimum of 8 different instruments per track. Not only did they have a 'few' hit songs, they had over 50, including 20 in the US.

I'd definatly have to say that seeing the Rolling Stones this summer may have been one of the best concerts in the last while, 85,000 people and copius ammounts of chronic :)

I wish I could've gone to see them, that would've been awesome. But I saw Van Halen last year and I'm going to Motley Crue on tuesday so I'm happy. Chevelle and Danzig are also coming to town this weekend, so I'll be having fun!

the greatest concert ever? idk about that, ever been to velvit revolver they may not have such good songs like the beatles but they put on a god amazing concert it blew my mind
