What I saw in Ogded Utah over the weeked was the sickest fucking thing I have in the long time. The jump was scetchy as hell. The run in was only
40 feet long, the jump was about six feet tall, and the landing ramp was small as shit, yet three crazy fuckers were thowing Backs, Fronts, Spins, Mistys,Corks and all kinds of shit. I overheard a group of pros in front of me say that there was not enough money to make them jump it. Yet three guys nobody has ever heard of stepped up.

As if it was not crazy enough, the rain storm made it even more scetch. The run in was so gummed up from the rain that the first guy only went about 3 feet, but he still threw a fucking back and stuck it. After about 5 hits, the run in got faster and they started going about 20 feet. These guys had no way of knowing how big they were going to go from one jump to the next, yet they were throwing shit anyway. The crowd of about 500 was going fucking crazy. The four wheeler was accelerating them so fast, it looked like their arms were going to get ripped off. I still can't fucking believe it.

A guy in the crowed got his head split open 3 inchs from the whip of the tow in rope. It was total anarchy, Motor Oil, Motor Cycles, Water, Wood, Blood, and now regard for safety, everything newschooler stands for. We are all about breaking down boundries, and DNA and those three crazy fuckers broke down a big one.

I have heard that they already have 4 major sponcers for next year. I also have heard that next year will be a full on contest with a $10,000 purse for the winner, or should I say surviver. I also have heard that DNA is already building next years jump and it is going to be 4 times the size with a 100 yard run in. I never thought I would say this but I am little excited for next summer. anyway, i am going the route of saying that exhibition or whatever you want to call was demeaning to the sport of skiing. newschool skiing or whatever we call it could have been showcased in a way that would show the progressiveness of skiing. i think a wooden jump is a step back. we are not progressing off snow to wood are we. at least i hope not... for the sake of all of us

sketchy sketchy sketchy, maybe if it was redone but well it would be good, but that was a bit of a let down, maybe if the ramp was 5 times bigger and they use proper dry slope stuff(its hardly expensive! or new or anything) it wud of been beta, that jus lukd lie a piss take, but not a bad cconcept

that was pretty cool, fucking sketchy but cool. The way i look at that is that its the same as some kid in his backyard who sets some shit up and hits it. Who cares what hes doing, if hes doin 1 footers on this small shitty plastic rail and havin a good time doin it. All the more power to him. Thats what skiings about, just doin your own thing and havin fun doing it. You people get so concerned with the image and not becoming like rollerbladers or whatever. Honestly who cares, the more you try not to be the more you become. So why dont you just go out and do your own thing. and this event, was just cool. Not progression or a step back, but just fucking cool.

exactly, a backyard jump, that should stay in the kids backyard. Its fine there. However it shouldn't be set up as a sponsored event.
