Molded boots?

I'm getting new boots and I can have them regular fitting or molded.
My question is this should I pay the extra money to have then fitted or just go regular.
Has ne1 here had boots molded and was it worth it ?

'It stirs up envy,fame does.People.. feel fame gives them some kind of privilege to walk up to you and say anything to you-and it won't hurt your feelings-like it's happening to your clothing.I don't mind making jokes, but I don't want to look like one.

i had mine molded, only because i got it done for free. what's the real difference? not much. boots will be broken in anyways, so getthing them molded just eliminates the break-in time. if money wasn't a factor (i.e. you're filthy rich or you can get it free, then what the hey) but it's like a bonus thing, and not necessary

stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

i have heard nothing but positive comments about it. i am getting it done in a few weeks. icelantic hooked me up with them. the owner and founder of icelantic said that he had it done and he said it feels like you are floating in powder all the time. and i heard that you can ride on your edges and not have it hurt your feet. so yes pay the extra money to have it done

You mean the heat modeable liners?? If you have them then why wouldnt you do it, its free and takes like ten minutes.

Rite but they are more money to begin with, or I can get them with a special foam liner.

what kind of crappy boots are you getting that dont have a heat moldable liner? pretty much anything on the market now thats decent has some capacity to be heated up and molded to your foot. and if a shop is charging you extra to do this even though you are buying the boot from them, i suggest you go elsewhere. definately get the liner molded to your foot. packing out a liner from natural wear only does so much. from personal experience, my langes fit like crap until i threw them on the heater and molded them. now they couldnt be more comfortable.

when you say molded, are you talking about foam injected or just the heat and mold stuff? if its #2, just take 2 hair blower, put them in the boots for 15 mins, step in, clip them hard, put a 3/4 inch wood bar under your toes, and lean forward..for like..15-min ... doesnt take a MBA...

heat mold liners should come in pretty much every boot. its definitely worth your while to get heat mold footbeds. foam injected liners are probably overkill though.

foam injection liners suck for long term, hence why they are only used in top end race boots that only get used for a season. the foam packs out and then you are screwed.

do it. get your boots ajusted to your feet. foam injected liners arent for racers. racers use plug boots, they are a whole other story. foam injected is the high end custom liner option fpr anyone. about $450 can. for $250 you could go with a custom liner that is foam, but not injected. its fully moldalbe and the tongue is a different design that is better.

By 'special foam liner' I am guessing you mean you can get a higher grade moldable foam liner than the stock ones, not foam injection.

If this is the case, DO IT. A vast majority of stock liners, no matter what type of boot you have, are crap. A thicker and stiffer foam liner that's custom baked to your foot and your boot will make a hell of a difference in terms of both performance and comfort.
