Mainstream effect of freeskiing

so i was watching yearbook with some freeskier and nonfreeskier-friends.

we were wachting it in a "youth room" and everyone was expecting to watch stuff like transporter or red eye or so.

but i took yearbook with me and we hadnt another movie to choose so i put it in.

after about 20 minutes i recognized that most of the skiers were totally liking it. i mean my friends who are only riding groomers and just hit the park when they come with us. they liked how huge the pros are going and stuff. but although the movie was a maybe edited too slow, it didnt matter very much, though

the non-skiers who dont even ride groomers or snowboard, (those poeple who just live for shooting themselves out of the galaxy each weekend) almost fell asleep. they were talking and werent able to feel respect for someone that is pulling a steezie switch 10, but no problem, they shut at least the fvck up.

so, the interesting thing is, that all the guys wanted to tap sarah (nothing surprising at all) but her part made yearbook a better movie for them. (and the girls got a better "entry" to the movie, they were feeling it more than before) same with the crash part, the parachute stuff (which i think is getting a little old, but ok), wilsons crash and harrisons crash. its ok that those parts were the favourite of them, but i think its interesting that almost just these parts make the movie for them...

the next thing is, after the movie i put in the New World Disorder 5 teaser which is on the dvd. and boom, everyone was freakin out how huge this guys were going. although noone of my friends is riding downhill or freeride bike. (i am maybe the only one who is able to recognize a marzocchi monster t or a spesh demo 9)

so altogether i was feeling quite strange, how more "mainstream" Biking is than skiing.

ok anyone has or had a bike, and knows that this stuff is freakin tight. but same with skiing, almost everyone of my friends was skiing at a point in the past.
