Firewalls and BitTornado

I cant get things to work anymore on bittorando and i thing its because of a firewall. i disabled my windows one but it hink my router may have one 2. Instead of disabling them could someone explain ports to me or give me some ports that i can add to both firewalls to make it work?

I have the same problem with BitTorrent on my computer, had it all working on my desktop then got this laptop for school, tried getting it to work and disabled the Windows XP firewall and the only other one i have is McAfee Firewall and i open ports up but i must be opening the wrong ones... someone help us, please!

I'm pretty sure you have to open port numbers from 6881 to 6999 on your router. Find out in your router manual how to do it and you should be good to go, if not search google and you will find your answer sooner or later.

you only need to open ports 6881-6889 on your router, this should hopefully do the trick. if all else fails, kill your software firewall and bypass your router just to determine point of failure. you can get bit tornado here, only win32 executable but source for other platforms:
