Ok i need to get a camera for use in ski filming among other things and i was plaing on purchasing a high end video camera like this one from sony. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=HDRHC1

would you recomend thsi camera, so far i have only heard good things about it, if not what woulfd u recomend

If you know alot about filming, then maybe you should save up another $600 or so and get the Panasonic DVX-100A. if you're new....then i don't know why you're spending so much money on that cam.

naw he should save up and get a gl2 if anything...but ya that camera seems nice if i had like 1k or whatever it is i would buy it...

Forget the high-def. Spend the same or more on a normal camcorder. Or better still get a VX or GL series used on eBay.

get a dvd corder it just makes it that much easier to edit and play no one has a vcr anymore

^^about a month ago i bought a $1500 camcorder off
ebay. it went great the seller was super nice, and it was the best deal of my life
