Replying to Ilithiam battaries in I Pods and other things...
alright, so I was at Future Shop a few days ago with a friends who was looking into buying an I Pod. Now, I have lots of friends who already have I Pods, but this was the first time I was in the store when someone was purchasing one...
... she was going to get an I Pod Mini, but as she was about to buy it the guy who worked at the Future Shop told us that the ilithiam batteries die after a year or two (depending on use)...
now, yes, we all know that battaries run out of juice and die, and ilithiam batteries are rechargable and built right in... so when the battery dies you have to send it back to either the store that you got the I Pod from, or to Apple themselves...
what the thing is, is that if you send it to apple, you have to pay them for them to replace the battery, and the result is that you loose all your songs, or if you pay them twice as much than you get a new battery and they save your songs...
seams like a huge ripoff. for a person like myself who travels around a lot and doesn't have money for a computer and internet hook up, if i was to get an ipod, the songs on it would be it, there would be no computer at home with the backup songs.
i think you understand what i'm trying to say so i'm done.
FUCK THE WORLD!
