Vx has better lowlight. But really you can't go wrong with either since both are very similar in quality.

you can't get GL1s new. and the VX1000's lowlight is just about the same as teh GL1/GL2s. its the VX2100 that has good lowlight.

no but seriously, vx1000s are agreed upon in the skating industry to be the better choice. However, the durability is a factor.

between the two, I would get the vx, cause the on the GL1 you can't adjust mic levels, which really sucks.
