so you got yourself a car that can fit 2 people, i dunno maybe it has those fake back seats so three at the most. Can only be used half the year, provided its not raining cause those cars slip everywhere in the rain. You can't fit your skis in it and even if you could it wouldn't get you to the mountain. At least its practical.

^ You have shit on the WRX STI... those things are AWD and will jump off the line like nothing while your wheels are spinning. Trust me, the local subi/mazda dealership brought a stock STI to the drag races here and it was killing cars left and right because it could just jump off the line unlike many other cars there. It was the same with a twin-turbo talon and a VW GTI VR6 (FWD, weight from the engine and not sitting in the rubber patches).

Mustangs are a fun car to drive, my friend has a '89 with a 5.0L and it was awesome, but for practicality-sake I'd take a WRX STI, a 1.8T VW/Audi, or something else of the like. 'least now you can get a diesel jetta or something for the winter... and when you can't afford to put gas into the Mustang.

But yeah, if you truly want to experience speed, get a ride in a drag car. My friend and his dad race their '69 Chevelle SS... it's got a bored-out 427 with so many other goodies (MSD ignition, work the timing from inside the car), and runinng on drag slicks with the exhaust coming out in front of your feet... now that's an experience, the thing is around 550hp with torque that had me sucked back into my seat hard.

Ok.

European cars are faster than American cars. Period. Japanese cars, on the other hand, are cheaper than euro, better put together than US cars, and have better fuel economy than both (except maybe Subaru).

American classic cars are in a whole different category, but modern US cars are a mixture of ugly, stale design trends and subpar engineering.

The US auto market also spawned the H2 and H3. For that alone, they deserve to go under.

Well said. A S4 could DESTROY you dependind on the model. Ive seen RS4 take down porsches with easy. front wheel drive>Rear wheel drive, but AWD will destroy them both. And as far as the STI vs. SVT race, sorry youll get you ass handed to you and a fucking silver platter. AWD launches would destroy you. plus the 6 speed trans has a bertter gear ratio than your 6 speed. and yes with a little work liek 5 grand yes you could beat a STI, but with 5 grand of work a STI would be a fucking 8 second car. and still be a DD.
