Fuckin Hate my job

I am a financial advisor in a piss poor town and I hate my job. I call anywhere between 150-200 people a week to set up appointments to review their plans and contracts. I get yelled at more often then I would like. The past two weeks I had 23 appointments set up. Of those 23, I had 17 cancellations/No shows. People are dumb shits and they waste my damn time. I have to drive all over the boonies to meet with them and then they hide from me. I manage their frickin money, you would think that they would like to know whats going on. I came into work this morning and all 6 todays had called and left voicemails saying they were not coming in. So now I just sit at my desk and cruise the forums. I cant wait to leave this crappy town for portland in May.

Anybody else have shitty jobs????

sounds annoying, but how much is your salary

Are you buying an all east college pass? It'd help me out if you bought it at attitash.com/parker. It's the same price as the normal site and will accomplish the exact same thing, but you'd be helping out a fellow newschooler. thanks

I am on a Draw base since i'm new, but I make around 3k a month gross. Then you have to subtract 850 a month for office expenses. Then another 400 a month of dental/medical. So then i'm left with aroundt 1750. Then you take 15% tax out of that and you leave me with an ass raping of a wage. Plus I have been putting in 70 hr weeks to try to get crap rollin. God I hate this job.

Its not salery. I am on a draw (loaned paychecks) for 4 months then i'm on straight commission. Which is jack shit around here

I'm a software tester in a small company. I came in this morning late and was one of the 3 people here. I've never used the forum's so much until i got this job about 6 months ago. My manager always comes by to tell me that 'such and such needs to get tested asap' - 'make a test plan and lots of documentation' .. then 2 days later I'm like "I finished the test plan and programmed some test cases for this, when will i get a build?" - "Oh, we're not doing that anymore"

My job doesn't suck and I don't hate it. My beef is that I graduated from college and the day after I started working full time. I'm loving the experience I'm getting and all, but I feel like I skipped the whole post-college-blow-off-the-world phase.

I know what you mean. The day after I graduated I started studying for my Series 7 and 66 NASD Securities exams. Which was about 8-10 hrs of studying a day for a month on top of working a part-time job. Then started working the job i'm bitchin about. The only thing cool about this job is that I have my own office. But I damn well better since I have to pay rent for it.

My draw goes away in 2 weeks, so i'm looking for a new job and in the mean time selling a ton of shit on ebay.

dude that blows, i work 40 hr weeks but i mainly only put in like 15-20 hrs work work. most of my time is spend waiting for problems to occur then they get fixed. right now im in a new place and just watching for 2 weeks doing nothing and making like $900.

I wait tables at the "old spagetti factory" man that jobs sucks. I average about 15$ an hour on weekdays and 17.50$ on weekends. Which is good for an entry level job, but man does it fucking blow. People are so stupid, it baffles me. I think everyone should have to wait tables for two weeks in their life, then maybe they would understand why I can't wait on them hand and foot. I've got a million tables and people are bithing, I'm running in the kitchen to make salads or icecream when I'm slammed, we run out of bread or soup. What the fuck am I supposed to do? People just give me shit all the time when I'm a pretty decent waiter.

On a side note, When you guys grow up. ORDER FOR YOUR CHILDREN. I know its a big step for little Jhonny to tell me what he wants, but when I'm slammed and hes going, "I want da ummmmm, ummmmm, ummmmm, ummmmm, I want da ummmm, ummmm, ummmmm" Veins start popping out of my head. HES A FUCKING CHILD ORDER FOR HIM, ORDER HIM A BOWL OF DIRT HE WILL FUCKING EAT IT. TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR STUPID INDECSISIVE CHILD

Yeah the prices are pretty decent for All the free fresh bread loaves you can eat, All the Milk, coffee, or ice-T is including in the price of the meal, free drink refills, Complimentary Spumoni or Vannila icecream for desert along with a pasta entree for about 7$, cant beat that shit

yeah the old spaghetti factory is awesome. we used to take field trips down there in elementary school. i suppose it was educational.

on the topic, it takes a long long time to find a job you can love that also pays the bills. find your interests and keep your options open. i love music, skiing, and diving. thus i'm working at a dive shop, part time at a helly hansen store, and "volunteer" co marketing rep for vagrant, but these didn't all happen overnight. hopefully after college i can go into any one of these industries and be happy.

Man I used to hate my job so fuckin much. Then I got a promo, I'm diggin it, good base salary, good commisions and quarterly bonuses. Im working on quotations for a big lighting company in Canada. It's solid lots of jobs going down so it's aight, kinda challeging to beat out the competitors and make good customer relations. Plus I got my own office, and if I feel like it I just chill n check shit out on the net. Plus they send me all over Canada. Gonna get to ski all over.

you are so right about little kids. no parents should ever let their kids order. i worked at a snack bar this summer (not nearly as hard as serving thank goodness) and it pissed me off so much when kids took a million years to order and their paretns stand there and watch. eughghghhg.
