ITunes; more then 5 users connect to shared???!?

Im in a dorm and its really easy to share your music. problem is, people leave "our tunes" or "mytunes redux" open and so automatically, 5 people connect and then your shot for the day or else you need to change the date on your computer. I think this is an insanly retarded feture that apple added, and Im woundering if there is any way (legal or non, with extra software envolved or not) that i can get around this horrible idea that the creators of itunes had.

PLEASE!!! there has to be something!!!

I've never heard of the problem to that extent. Why don't you just not share your music? I'ven ever run into that problem at work w/20 some odd people listening.

Also, are you running Winbloze xp home? That version of xp only allows workgroups of up to 5. It might be an issue, but I doubt it.

I do buy some of my music, but thats not the matter here! Im not trying to find a way to get around OTHER peoples limit to 5 user connects, Im trying to find a way to get around my own so people can connect.

just put a password on shared tunes and just give it to the people you want to connect to your comp

untill they get scratched up. And sure you could copy them to you computer but then you have all that left over trash, like the cd case, cd case wrapper, booklet, those stupid stickers along the top. I would rather avoid all of that waste and help out the planet. I guess thats where we are differnt, you support affluent society, cunsumption, and waste. All the money you spent on those cd's could have gone to a better cause. Music is free, but hurricane relief is not. I guess you really have your priorites in line. Congrats on making mega rich artists richer so they can consume at a rate the planet can't handle, it really seems like the moral thing to do.

Share your music as whatever name and then "Password: ___" whatever your password is. If the password thing really blocks out ourTunes then that should work.

Plenty of CDs I've bought have kept me from listening to music. I can't use them in my computer's cdrw drive, as they're "copy protected".

iTunes blocks you from connecting to other peoples music if more than 5 people are connected. So all the people being gay and saying his music is stopping him from listening to it it isn't. iTunes is stopping him from listening to other peoples music.

well it simply will try to connect and fail if more the five users have connected..

and ^ its a limit of 5 users a day total, not just five at a time, thats why its extremly stupid.

Im at boarding school so I cant download music using limewire or any other app but I got MyTunes Redux, its so sick, you can search or just click and download any music from the Itunes network. And since im on LAN i downloaded 500 songs in about 5 minutes
