Basically they are crowded and full of rednecks. They have low quality merchandise. Most of them I've been in have been pretty dirty. At least every one I've ever been too.

That they have become so big that they can get almost anything they want. Where I live they convinced the city to take land away using eminant domain and sell it to them for way less than market value. And at the some time they are one of the wealthiest companies around. I forgot their family name but I know that 3 of them are in like the top 10 wealthiest ppl in america. It is insane. Their greed is driving out all of the mom and pop shops, and all theydo is leave in ten years. Now the surrounding area has no small shops and a big empty warehouse. Wow, I cant belive that americans support this shit.

were you really expecting serious responses to this thread? and even if people did respond seriously, how credible are the responses? someone might say something that you think is interesting, such as "walmart is the biggest company in the world" and you'd include it in your essay and then find out later that its not true. nice job. the end.

Walmart is successful now because they can operate at a loss.

If there is a local competitor, Walmart can lower their prices to drive out there competitor, all while losing money. For the competitor to stay in business, they would have to lower prices too low to make any money. Since a local competitor most likely doesn't have much cash, he can't operate at a loss, he can't make a profit, and closes shop.

A fact about WalMart: It sucks.

it has the most employees in the world, US postal service is 2nd,

A friend of mine read somewhere that WalMart takes a life inshurance policy on every employee, even after they quit. so when they die WalMart gets money.....my friend is probably full of shit, but i wouldn't surprise me if they did. let me know what you find out.

have you seen that south park about walmart it is full of facts. fact one: it is a living breathing being. Fact two: It is a ruthless killer, so don't piss it off. Fact three: It changes its prices on its own with no human interaction. Fact four: It feeds off of the people within the town it resides kill them and you will kill it, the beast that is walmart, now if you'll excuse me I need to go get a wrench set I hear they are on sale

actually the WAL is from Walton, the last name of the family that owns it. They also happen to be one of the richest families (if you combine all the individuals money into one figure).

Their ordering, warehousing, and distribution systems are amazingly efficient and extremely well thought out. In addition, they displace much of the risk in carrying inventory from Wal Mart to the supplier, which is a good thing if you're Wal Mart.

Oh, and Wal Mart is evil. It's a fact.
