what is the freakest shit thats happend to you in a plane

for me it was wen our plane fell through a 130 foot air pocket will begining the aproch for the landing iit was sum intense shit alot of ppl screamed it was crazyness

also i like shit my self wen these like 20 indian like ppl where l each going to the washroom every 10 min and ocasionaly they would stand in like the back of the plane and the front and i thoughtthey where gonna hijack the plane

one time my plane was on the runway for about an hour, and i guess when the pilot started the engines, one of them started on fire, so we all had to get off the plane..that was pretty scary.

And another time i was flying home by myself, and it was right after september 11th had happened. I was sitting in the waiting area waiting for the plane to board, and there was this creepy arab guy sitting next to me. He was talking on his cell phone in arabic and i was freaked out that he was going to hijack the plane, so the whole time on the plane i kept my eyes on him.

i was flying back from hawaii when i was a kid, and the oxygen masks fell from the ceiling. everyone started getting hysterical, so that scared the shit out of me. but as it turns out, it was just a malfunction.

i think it was 5 years ago i lived in thailand and my famliy was on vacation in cambodia. we took a plane to go to ankgor wat and it was quite a memorable occasion. the plane was an old soviet hunk of junk. the tires were completely bald adn you could see the strings that hold the tire together. the seats could be moved along in their tracks, tray tables didnt stay up, some seats didnt have backs, the backs of the seats could be pushed forward. thats all i can remember it was a little freaky.

i was coming back from st thomas and we got a crappy plane. we also got the back seats. Well anyways, it was night time, and we started getting a lot of turbulence. we'd drop down a lot. like nobody on the plane talked except for a guy i heard in the back behind the curtain saying "oh shit" while we heard stuff falling from the back.

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

mine would be flying to vegas when we passed a storm, there was a huge thunder head, sooo fucking high, and it was night time so it would light up and then you would see lightning bolts shoot out the side of it and the cloud would turn like purple it was sick. it wasnt really scare but it was fucking cool, and then we got in turbulance so that made it fun too. the other thing was rolling across the grand canyon in a cessna 182 and we hit some air pockets and dropped and stuff, it was cool.

i was flying out to whist in april and the engines would start and stop and they couldn't get them to stay on so they had to wheel out this huge manual engine starter and they finally got it to work and the engine would stay on for more than 10 mins and we were allowed to go and I was so scared the engine was going to stop mid-flight

i hate flying to. I went on the french exchange with my school so i was flying alone. We were coming in on the approach and the pilot kinda overshot the runway and dropped us like 10 feet. Everyone screamed. I also know someone that was on that flight that overshot the runway at Pearson Int. in Toronto. That plane was the same one that i was on. THE EXACT SAME PLANE!

I was flying back from Florida maybe 8 years ago and the pilot told us we needed to make an emergency landing because their was a fuel smell in the bathroom. It was scary as fuck, I didn't really know what was going on but this lady next to me was flipping out so I got freaked out
. I was also sitting alone cause the seats on the plane got all messed up and my family got to sit together but I didn't. So we go towards the runway and I looked out the window and those yellow firetrucks were everywhere and everything. absolutly terrified me of flying and I'm still terrified of it today, I'm still convinced that I'm screwed everytime I get on a plane.

i've been flying since i was like 2months old and i am still terrified of it. when i was 7 i locked myself in the bathroom and freaked the hell out, bassically won't go to the bathroom on the plane now, and this one time a bird flew into our engine during take off so we have to emerg land and get a new plan, it was kindda scary. and storms in the sky are soo rad, but so scary at the same time.

me and my dad were flying home from CT to KY, it was winter time and we had to fly kinda low because we had considerable icebuildup at altitude. It was night time and we were flying over some town in Penn. All of a sudden the entire sky lit up and it scared the shit out of me. A meteor flew past our right wing by no more than 500 feet, I distinctly remeber my heart skipping a few beats, it was so unexpected and bright I didn't realise what happened for a few seconds, it was really weird.

Ohh and last summer my dad flew me to a shitty airstrip in the middle of rural tenessee on my birthday. We land real early at the "Paris airport" in Paris, TN. He didnt tell me what was goin on so we get out of the plane and walk over to this shitty little barn. Turns out its a redneck dropzone. So anyway I'm suiting up for my first skydive and the plane thats gonna take us shows up, WOW. I mean wow was this plane fucked up, it was running so rough just the sound of it was scary, it had no front panels around the engine, I mean I wish I had a picture of this thing it was late 70's cessna, and total fucked up. But anyway the planeride up to 13,000 I was more scared that the plane was gonna crash than I was about skydiving for the first time(this thing barely ran). As soon as the door flew open to bail I didn't hesitate a bit.

well this didnt happen to me, but my dad is a pilot for north west and he flew through that volcano that erupted i think it was like 2-3 years ago now in japan. the air traffic controlers (sp)didnt know it erupted so my dad didnt know until he was in it(it was at night) he said there were like chunks of rocks and shit hitting the windsheild, and it scratched it all to hell, i guess he could barely see when he was landing, ash was coming through the air vents, and it ended up fucking up 3 of the 4 engines. and he lost an engine (like actually fell off) during takeoff from hitting a goose.

not mine, but my dads. coming back from newyork city for a business trip he finally made it back to toronto when some baby from the congo or someshit was sick on the plane coughing and then had a seizure eyes rolled.

they quarantined it on the runway for 3 hours figuring out what was wrong with the kid. if it was african disease.

turned out it wasn't so they allowed to get off.

What doy ou think they would say if you were flyign commerical, and your only carry-on item was a parachute. I mean they can't deny you really. What if the plane fucks up and you can't bail cuz they didn't let you bring your chute. your family could sue the crap out of them twice.

My old man used to be in the RAF (British Air Force) flying fighter jets.

His engine caught fire once, and he had to eject and landed in the North Sea at night. Pretty sketchy.

this didnt happen to me but my dad was flying and this guy who was beside him with the window seat by the wing and the guy had been drinking and the on the landing the planes wing caught on fire and the guy flipped out and panicked turns out it wasnt a big deal at all just some thing on thew wing over heated....but we all kno they wher just lieing aprently accordning to my dad the fire was the siz e of a camp fire and they rushed a like fire truck and some people over to the plane as soon as it landed to attend to the the "little problem"

about 3 summers ago i was flying out to go to a session at revolution, halfway there on hte landing at o'hare i guess there was smoke coming out of the airplane so they had to have a whole bunch of emergency vehicles come and shit and we got all taken away in ambulances and buses and shit...i was so worried that i wouldnt get to camp but i did....and ended up breaking my leg within 15 minutes of just arrivingh there.

I was flying from Kuala Lumpur to London on my way back to Calgary and there was an arab dude sitting a few rows ahead. he was super sketchy before getting on the plane sitting down standing up, checking his bag all the time. then on the lpane the stewardess came over and said something to him, and he handed her his passport. she took it the the front of the plane and then 2 military guys got on with huge guns and hnadcuffed the guy and took him off the plane. there was 2 or 3 other arabs on the planes who looked freaked out so i didnt really sleep on that flight.

Probobly that time when I was flying home from Florida and we went into a storm as well. The plane got struck by lightning and the right wing engine siezed up and caught fire. The plane then shook like crazy and we hit an air pocket sucking the plane down soo hard that I swear if we wheren't buckled in we would have hit the cealing. The sudden drop caused the tail end of the plane to malfunction and send us in a path resembling a little kid throwing a paper airplane- out of control. A lot of people screamed for a while then it all stopped when the plane smashed into the ground after it went upside down. Everyone on board died, it was wicked terrible and something I want to forget about.

yeah ive been flying since i was too, i guess i find it relaxing cause nothing bad has happened to me yet, and i fly somewhere every summer alone so when something finally does happen im gonna be scared shitless

my mom and i were flying home from bermuda, and we had the worst turbulance ever. everyone was pretty freaked. i thought it was the bermuda triangle. which is actually kind of cool. but i've never been scared of flying, i just don't care anymore.
