ARV, Made'ns and Pistols

Ok heres the deal, I live in NZ and we have a sick mtn here for pow and steeps. I have fujatives for park and i want something that floats and you can still take down tight chutes. I know the new ARV is quite a bit fatter so im starting to look into it. I really like the Made'n but its hard to find here and seems pretty fat for NZ conditions but it does look like a very sick ski. How much more float would made'ns have than ARV. And then theres pistols which are sick everywhere. Cant decide help me out.

the madens have such a soft flex. they won't be too good in anything but extremely soft snow. i think the arvs or pistols would be the better choice. what i hear is the pistols own the arvs... ;)

the one time i rode pistols i did like them better then my arv's...buttt the arv kills um in the park.

i had the pistols last year and they are such a nice ski. they are great in powder and soft snow but still do well on anything else except moguls. the pistol is a really good all around ski with a powder focus. i'm getting the made'ns this year because i want a bigger powder ski. i haven't ridden the ARV's but i would highly recommend the pistols if you want more of an all around ski and the made'ns if you decide you want more of a powder only ski.

I've heard that pistols have such a soft tail that it almost slows you down, and that made'ns are more bang for the buck. But, that's just what ive heard.

so it seems like you want pistols. you want a all around performing ski that floats and does it all. the pistol.
