im studying in scotland for the semester from colorado and i have no one to dream of skiing with. do any companies do premiers or movie releases (local or states) in the UK? that would be sick

Join your university's snowsports club. I was at Strathclyde and know a load of people from the Strathclyde, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Heriot Watt clubs this year - all good guys so go for it.
