Replying to Help with computer speakers...

my computer speakers have been acting crazy. they make this constant crackling noise. when music is playing, when music isn't playing. also when i turn the volume up the crackling gets louder, when i turn it down, it gets quieter. also when i turn it off it stops all together. does anybody know what the heck is goin on with these speakers?
