why do canadiens feel its their job to tell everyone that they're from canada and how much they love it there. I dont thik ive seen a thread on NS that doesnt have a canadian telling everyone that hes canadian and loves it.

I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.

    how could you be proud to be american right now? especially after all that has gone on recently? how long did it take our fearless leader to get to new orleans or even do anything? 2 or 3 days? because he was on vacation in the next state over? when you are the leader of the most powerful country in the world, you are on call 24/7/365, thats part of the job. you dont see a monster of a storm show up on the radar ready to pummel your country and instead of trying to prepare for it, go on vacation. dont get me wrong, i really like where i live, but i cant say i would go around bragging that i am from here.

    "Henry Woodward of Toronto, who along with Matthew Evans patented a light bulb in 1875. Unfortunately, the two entrepreneurs could not raise the financing to commercialize their invention.     The letter "Z" comes from the Greek letter zeta and should be pronounced "zed" not "zee" (Americans pronounce it "zee" to make the alphabet song rhyme).

    I AM FRENCH AND THEREFORE SUPERIOR TO ALL OF YOU, BY POWER AND INTELLIGENCE. Now i don't see the shame of living in a country like the USA, the government acts in an uncivilized and imperialist manner towards a lot of other countries, but the US is still a nice country, with a lot of nice people in it, with an interesting culture and heritage... So the current situation doesn't reflect the states as they are, and ppl shouldn't judge americans on that. And you proud canadians should be proud of being peacekeepers and staying out of trouble, but if you look at the involvement of Canada on the world scene there's nothing to be so proud of(not that there's anything not to be proud of). Im still proud to live in Canada I think its a great country
