Havent even skiied yet but im out for 3-6 months, livin on the east coast means if it 6 my season is pretty much gone, prayin for 3, anyone else in the same boat?

went in for a nice little miniscus fix, then they found that my miniscus was folded over and torn, original recovery was supposed to be 6 weeks, now its 3-6 months, im sooooooooo pissed

you are young man. If you absolutely do the rehab exercises like they recommend and do all the right things they tell you, you will be skiing the first week of January. be positive and work hard.

i was originally supposed to be out until december which makes me miss the first month of the season and all of soccer season AND 3 months of skateboarding, but they messed up the diagnosis so im reaaaalllyy happy. but dude sorry about your injury. for sure do everything they tell you to do in rehab and PT or watever your goin to

yeah knee injurys blow, ull be back in 3 months if its just meniscus, you can be ready to ski with a torn ligament in 3 months if u just do everything good and really focus on getttin stronger

yeah i was talkin to the doctor and he said once im off the crutches riding a bike just on the road is really good for it cause its a smooth lateral motion so ill prob be doin that every day, anyone else got any tips from past expierience? thanks for the words all

DO YOUR EXCERCISES...im recovering from ACL and meniscus surgery right now, and that is THE most important thing.

i've got oshkins thing too but only in my left knee which was weird and luckily the bump isn't too big and it doesn't seem to really affect me that much anymore

i went through the usual summer workout for our football program, which basically starts a week after football season and carries over until next season and i ended up just pulling through with a hernia which left me to decide on having surgery now and play the season or wait until after and have it run into ski season. My mom didnt understand my decision but i had surgery last friday and today im feeling good but really sore still. The doctor said if i feel fine i should be able to come back 4-6 weeks but until then i cant lift anything over 10lbs so i dont know if i want to go back to football and risk injuring myself and killing my season. So as of now ive missed two games already,,,but i dont think i will be missing any powder days :)


Me: Hey I got these sweet new skis today.

Me: You mean telemark?
Matt: Yea, im retarded.

yea biking is definately a good thing, i got surgery in february for my acl, didnt really do too much for rehab untill about late june or so. but since then ive been biking a ton adn you really can tell the difference it makes.
