Replying to F*ck buying albums

ok perfect example of why i won't buy music, and pretty much hate how music buying works.

i had an argument with a friend about how many postal service albums there were. I said 1, he said he owns all 3 (or 4, i forget). So i look it up, and sure enough, there's only one album, but like 2 or 3 other singles. however, the singles have some non album tracks on them.

that means that to get all the songs you want, you'd have to buy the album, then the singles, which is stupid, because why by the single for such great heights when it's on the album - oh wait, because there's other songs on the single.

But one of my favorite postal service songs is their against all odds cover. I noticed this wasn't listed on any of the CDs (this was on subpop's website), which confused me. I googled it, and it's only available on the soundtrack for wicker park. But what if you don't want that soundtrack?

This isn't a problem for me since I just download shit anyway, but if I was one of those people, I'd have to buy an album, 3 singles (with mostly songs I already "own"), and a soundtrack, just to get all the PS songs I want. Gay.

And as for those people? I just don't get it, because if I paid for the albums for all the music I'd have, I'd be living in a box on the corner, because I couldn't afford my rent or food.
