a 20 gig wouldn't be able to survive that, seeing as the harddrive would be fucked after the first half (throwing it out the window of a moving car at 30mph would definately wreck the spindle and knock the disk platters out of alignment). once they up capacity of these things to 10gig, i'd definately be down with getting one.

Yo I dont necesarily think that is true. I believe it depends on what you are using. I ALWAYS had thought this but last year (I have no idea what it was called) someone had made a thread about this but I was wrong. I forget what the exact conclusion was.

well seeing as you will probably have the ipod in yuor pocket close to your body it shouldnt be a HUGE factor in the battery life.

yeah i had one of the original iPods when they first came out, and it fell off my dresser, bedside table, out of my locker at school, i've dropped it..... i'd say all in all 10 times or so, and it eventually died, but not before it took a severe beating. those things are tough as shit.
