MSP or Karma?

I am looking to get my hands on a pair of MSPs or Karmas. Maybe last years Pollard too.


Any wise thoughts?

MSP, Karma, and Pollard are all very different sticks. At first look, I'd say Karma if you can get a good deal on them, but it all comes down to what and where you ski.

I rode MSP's and Karmas all last year and can honestly say that while Karmas I think would survive a nuclear bomb, MSP's are a tad more fun for most of the mountain.

I am looking for an all mountain ski. I want to be able to ride backcountry but still land switch and ride the park. I would say probably 50-50 for each.

I am splitting time between LA and Tahoe during summer, and all they have down here is parks....

I would say that the backcountry/crud/cliffs/chutes aspect is more important, but I need a twin.

Also, what makes them so different, from what I read they are fairly similar.

They're both stiff but the karma more so. I think if your picking between those two and spending lots o time in the parks, get the MSP's

Ya, I plan on getting 187s or whatever the equivalent is for the Karmas. The only reason I am looking at Line is because I want to get the Reactors.

I am also debating about whether I want to support a smaller US company like 4frnt and Line or not.

I think it is going to break down to pricing.

You guys know of any problems related to Karmas or MSPs and Reactors.

If you want Reactors than go with the 182 Mothership flites bro. They are a similar flex to the MSP and the big karma is totally not park skiable.

was talking to a guy who used to product test for line he left because they werent listning to him bout the bindings apparently it is the sickest idea and everything bout them is mint except for the heel release which causes you to pop your heel if you land anything with any over/underspin. i havnt riden them so cant say but this is what someone with a fairly comprehensive go on them said. o and im getting a pair of the line mothership for my b.c do everything other then park ski.

thanks a lot. I really want to get the reactors, sounds like they have some great features but i also dont want that shit breaking mid day after I shelled out the 200 or so of my hard earned (and saved up) greenbacks.

about the motherships, i do want a ski that is decent in the park. im not all about the park but when i ski in so cal that is all there is... so i need one that can handle that stuff along with the other stuff i ski up in tahoe when i go home.

Yea not so much they break you just lose your heel it pops out of the binding so apparently you can land a big spin and if youve still got a bit of spin the binding can release sometimes or when landing under/over spun
