Hey Mike,

Just curious if theres an age category for the up and coming
young gun open.

Matt,

no age limits, the only stipulation is that if you have any sort of
sponsorhip and you take first place at any of the four events, you're
obligated to give them up and take the sponsorships from siver, line,
scott and level.

thats the word from the man himself so if you are sponsored be willing to loose your current sponsors to pre qualify for all the major events

if he can qualify (2nd for that fucking matter) than why was he even arguing about this...I am not sponsored nor am I even at the level to bother competing in this shite but what I have read in the last few pages is a bunch of immature bullshit. Its their competition...their rules...they are fucking hook you up with the pre-qualifications of a lifetime, some gear and some sponsorship of some sort (flow team or whatever). Its all about exposure for people who don't have the chance to get it (unlike people who qualify 2nd for the us open or whatever comp. it was, I wasnt paying attention because of some of the retarded things that have been said in this--not by any one person but by a few). I am late for class so I am jetting but people quit your bitching...if you dont like the rules of the competition dont fucking compete. Simple as that.

They would be dumb to allow people not to accept the sponsorship. thats the entire point of the comp. They want to get someone on their team who kills it and send them to comps
