I was watching the 'Spy who loved me' DVD the other day ( I'm a big James Bond fan) and in the opening scene he is being chased by Russian assassins down an Austrian mountain, when he spins to fakie raises his pole and shoots one of the Russians, he then proceeds to hit a cornice drop...FAKIE.. and pulls a back half!!! I hadn't seen the movie in a while and couldn't beleive my eyes...this movie was made in '78 it was awesome
I think that movie is on TNN at 7 MT time tonight so check it out!!

and James Bond's 'On her majesty's secret service' is responsible for inventing the twin-tip. They hired the top ski rcer of the time to shoot the ski chase scene and he need to be able to shoot the front of the skiers and ski in front of them while holding the camera, so the had some custom skis made that were equal tipped and totally centered, thus the birth of the twin-tip.
