I don't have a favourite episode, but I have a favourite season. Some of the episodes induded:
Simspons go to Australia
Simpsons to go New York
The one with Scorpio
Lord of the Flies

I also like the episode when Lisa stops eating meat.

lately i've been seeing so many episodes that i've never seen before - last night i saw the 'springshield' one, and the night before the one where apu screws around with the squishie chick.. both were so damn funny. many surreal elements to them. and i thought i had seen every episode.

i read somewhere that they retired the New York Episode after 9-11 for some reason. It must be true caues i havent seen it since. That was one of the greatest ever though

Ooooooh man...if i have to pick only one.....frank grimes is my favourite. Homer is halarious in that episode as is mr. burns.

Other good ones are the power plant strike, lord of the flies, camp krusty, the one where bart and millhouse drink the squishy that's all syrup and like a bijillion other great episods.

The episode where homer stops going to church and nearly dies in the house fire. When the simpsons get a swimming pool. Oh man, the one where homer gets the cushy job with the supervillan, oh that's a great one, walks in while the swat teams are raiding without even noticing. haha, when bart becomes the bartender for the mafia and has the room full of stolen cigarettes 'did you take up smoking boy?' 'no..' 'I can tell you're lying, now i'm going to sit here and watch you smoke every last one of these'. Or when bart becomes mr. burns heir 'there, now you'll grow a might hump'. oh man i can think of sooooooo many great episodes. Bart and millhouse take over the comic book store, the frozen ice man in the kwiki-mart, when marg takes over revern lovejoy's job of giving advice. The revern might be my favourite bit character 'why don't you pick one of the other major religions ned, they're all pretty much the same..'. Speaking of ned, the one when homer puts ned on 'the plan' and they go to vegas and marry sluts. When a blizzard hits and all the kids get snowed in at school.

the one when homer joins the navel reserve is pretty damn good, or that one episode when the plot made no sense, like when bart found the illegal fireworks and marge cut off homers thumb then stole a car

hahahha that has to one of the funniest things i have ever heard bart say, it was in the one where his parents go to the marriage retreat to save there marriage. he says it to lisa after she says that bart wouldnt be able to take care of them cus the babysitter was to scared. that was so funny
