dreads in water

yeah so i'm an 'avid' sailor.

will these be a problem, having dreads, 'come sailing season? what about like mountain biking and stuff.

i need to know the down sides

and if this is the 'rubbing method' - rubbing your head whenever you can- thats what i am doing it

i also have knotty boy...but i figure i'd use that once they started to form

or is the rubbing method putting sections of hair between your hands and rubbinf your hands together

mine fall out if i get them wet when they were first starting but once they get super knotty and form real dreads nothing gets them out but scissors.

We started swimming in gym last week in school. And my dreads, which were formed by the rubbing method basically have held solid as all hell. The only downside is that you have to shake your head like a monger because all the water stays in it and it drips like a fiend when you get out of the water.

if you use the wax, then theyl be nice and solid by summer, i sail alot too and there isnt a problem with them coming out. they just get really heavy and i get almost pulled underwater by em. they stay wet for like 2 days after too
