Replying to Getting a new computer

Ok so i've had the same computer for about 4.5 years now, with no upgrades. Its like an AMD 1.7 or somethign close to that, i havent ever opened it up, but i am going to take this comp to the PC recycle place and have them gut it and put new HD, Processor, Video card, and mother board. Is there anything that i am missing that you would recomend. I know a little about computers, but nothing spectacular. I want it to edit and just general use. What would be some good options for parts, and how much do you think it will run do have it all done?
