i work at a veteran doctor in summer and a few days ago some girls working here came and asked why a part of the dog became very hard when they were washing it...they were dead serious

This summer i worked at Moog, a place where they build airplane parts. My job was to put the parts in boxes. Everyone else that I worked with was a depressed old dude in their late 40's early 50's. They would tell me how they are just "waiting to croak", how much more fun it was to play worms and solitare on their comps than to fuck their wives, and how "eveyone is gay".

I worked at a food warehouse for about a year. anyways, 4 sections: freezer, meat room (just above freezing), deli (refrig temperature) and produce - warmish. it's an extremely large freezer - i don't know the dimensions but it's made to serve 200 supermarkets roughly - I'd say about as big as a football field and kept at -25C fulltime (duh)

anyways, one of the forklift drivers was putting a load up and accidently hit the sprinkler head and the alarm goes off. since it's in the freezer the pipes are obviously dry. once the alarm goes off, there's a 2-5 minute window where somebody can cancel the system so that the pipes don't purge and water goes everywhere- it's not an uncommon occurance and the alarm was shut off.

apparently the system didn't cancel fully though. at about 4am the back shift hears a noise - the sprinkler system did get purged with water afterall and the ice expanded causing the pipes to burst and rushed into the freezer. they rushed to get the water turned off but, by the time they noticed, the entire freezer floor was covered with a solid inch of ice.
cleanup was a mess (as you can imagine) cause they had to raise the temperature enough, and chipping ice for 9-10 hours would make anyone crack - this work was later outsourced to the unemployed..

not so much funny, but amazing..

it was like my dads last day in the army brfore he retired and he was supposed to be supervising these guys paint camo on come cars, but he was tired so he took a nap, but the guys painting the cars thought it was funny (and it probably was) to make the camo blotches look like eyes and a mouth of a smiley face, so when hte peopole above my dad saw that he had taken a nap while these guys paint camo faces on army cars, they made my dad but new paint with his money and paint them by himself.

Not so funny meow, is it?
