Learning to 450 to rail

Any tips for learning 450 to railslides?

I was thinking about trying it on a smaller rail, so I could get a feel 360 over it, I'm comfortable enough with disasters natural and unnatural, and 270ing into it, and it doesn't seem like much of a stretch to learn switch 270's into it this year.

still though it scares the crap out of me visualizing it because I'm landing unnatural on a railslide with spinning, same deal with switch 270's I guess, but still, it manages to give me the shakes thinking about it.

just try it. dont come online and ask people to teach you how to do stuff. to be honest, its not that difficult, you just spin 450 and land on the rail. no one can say anything that will make it any easier

just try it on some small boxes first and work your way up thats prolly the best plan of attack

DO NOT lose yourself in the air. When spinning, look down at the rail, don't loose sight of it. And just keep it simple, don't huck too hard and keep it within your comfort zone. You'll stomp it no worries.

I'm coming online and not asking for the complete how to do it, just for any tips on not how to blow up and get myself carted off to the hospital, and I'm sorry if I haven't said that.

Last year was a lesson in destroying myself, and I'm just wondering what I can do to reduce the chances of killing myself the first I try the trick, and asking people who have done it. (and there's practically no one around at my ski resort who's done it, I was among the first to be trying 270's)

got too land it wide and level...if your too tight in your stance you gonna slide out on your side

wide stance, low bent knees

Switch 270's end up unnaty for me, maybe you railslide the same way you spin, and then a switch 270 brings you to a natural railslide, for me it's unnatural, and a 270 brings me natural, I'm weird I know.

lucky eh? always take a positive look at it I guess, it screws me over for blindside 270 out.

I unnaty disaster that rail pieces, but the problem I guess is trying to keep it together for the spinning so much, meh I'll learn it though...

you'll be fine bud you just gotta try it. definitely do it on a small rail first though and 360 over it....then just spin a lil faster and make sure to see the rail.

work on doing it to a thin box first so u can land like 400 and then get used to the whole rotation

yo guys, i need help with my switch cork 9s. I can do switch cork 7s totally good, but man, a switch cork 9? that's just crazy. Any good tips you guys have on how to do it? also how do you slide a rail?

For your swtch 270 on, just do it...i do switch 270- unnatural and i didnt even know how to grind unnat before i tried them. I think if you concentrate more on stopping your spin than the way you are grinding it will all be gravy

go at the rail, jump, spin 450 degrees, land on rail, slide it, jump off, (spin more is optional), than land back on snow if possible and then yell "I'm the shit, yo!"

its not too hard.. just always be looking around yourself more than you would on a regular spin so that when you get to 270 you can already see the rail and can slow down or spin faster to land on it at the right rotation...youll be fine if you get ballz

doing it onto a box first is alot more forgiving, then move onto something like a flat - down rail

Equipment is expensive, and i need lots of new stuff, i love being a poor college student!!!!

spin a 3 over it spot the rail and turn your skis a bit. just keep the rail under you.

Whoops I hit enter. Anyways, yeah think of it as like a little 360 and then as you spot the rail, just pull it 90 degrees more and make sure you are wide-stanced or you will eat shit. Make sure you are comfortable doing nice and even 3's and 5's, and landing unnatural.
