Hurricane Coverage

I understand its a big deal...but its a week later, do we really need 24/7 coverage on every god damn channel. There is other news to cover besides the great relief efforts people are doing. I bet bush is stoked that it wiped out new orleans, less Iraq coverage!!

^about 1000 Iraqis got killed in a massive stampede becasue someone yelled out that they were bombed. that news story got 3 minutes of coverage

yea thats true, i've read about that shitty huh. Some damn insurgent started yelling that there were suicide bombers in the crowd and it got everyone stampeding. Shitty stuff.

Well 1000 iraqis aren't 1000 Americans and since we are dealing with the American media it isn't going to get the same coverage. A lot of stuff goes on around the world that you wouldn't know about if you just watched your nightly news program

^ i know man that's what i'm saying. i use the internet for the news and not just CBC and CNN. If something like this was to happen in Japan, it would probably be a 15 minute coverage and that's it. i think that North American news has to get more international. frankly, i've heard enough about rapists and what celebrities are doing.
