Night urban setup

for the upcoming season i think im gana buy a generator and some lights and setup some night urban sesion. Dose anyone do this?

josh beman, generatores are not worth it if that is all u are using them for. get a power converter for you car its way cheaper and this way you can charge camera on the go and set up spot lights when you need too using an extension cord. its like a mobile home base.

if i do buy it my pops my go 50 50 on it with me cus he gose on motorcycle trips and was talkin about buyin one or maby ill try and get him to buy the whole thing

Yah your pretty dumb if you buy one. They make alot of noise so you wouldnt be able to use it anywhere near where people live, unless you use a silent one which cost a ass load of cash. Then you have to buy lights to go with it, and lug it to where ever you go. Need gas to run it plus more gas for your vehicle because of the extra weight and then you have to set it up. Waste of time, sleep and wait for daylight.

yea i know alot of people who shoot with the power inverters from car batterys and halogens, works perfect....

generators are dope, if you are shooting a film. if you are just sliding rails for fun don't waste your money.

Buy/Build some wheel ramps. Drive the front wheels of your car up them so it faces the rail, then turn your car lights on. Works a treat.
