I was thinking about doing the exact same thing with mine, since I'm wearing all white this year.

i was thinking of painting them i'd sand paper off the gloss, use a krylon flat white spray paint, for other colors use somethign like a sharpie so it doesn't get really thick and easy to chip. Then put on a coat or two of clear coat. Thats what im doing but i'm doing mine lime green probably
