just wear some thermal shirts onder it theyre really comfortable

I got a Gore Windstopper fleece a couple of seasons ago. It's the least bulky fleece I've had but also the warmest, so nice. Never been too hot or too cold with that and the North Face shell I've been using, with a DryFlo shirt under it. Try to get one that has vents that line up with your shell's vents - definitely helps.
