Who wants to be a pro skier

I was wondering who on this site REALLY wants to be a pro skiier. not like "it would be nice", but they base all thier priorities on it, and practice all the time on the trampoline, and skis, and anyother way possible.

id suspect all the young hopefulls, but thats almost excpected as you ski, sure it would be cool to be pro, only a select few have the talent, but its still good to dream.

being a pro on the side would be nice, getting all the free skis and shit, but i woudln't want to do it for a living. i think it would be kind of depressing to just ski for a living. i'd rather do something that makes me feel smarter, something that that requires lots of hard work.
i think its more fun when you work for a week doing something you like, and then ski on the weekend or at night or something. i think that would be more satisfying then skiing all the time, basically as your job.

not to say that right now, as a college student, i wouldn't rather be skiing all the time.

thats not what i'm saying at all.
i guess what i meant is like the same thing that pro football players are going through. you ski during your prime (28-mid 30s, early 40s) but once you can't ski, what do you do? and when some asks you what you spent your life doing, you tell them you skied? i'd feel more satisfied if i spend it doing something where i was learning or reading or something like that.

I understand but you go pro and our ognan meet some many people by the time your not skiing professionally you jsut start filiming or opena shop be rep youll have hookups look at the pros that what most of them do

i know im not good enough and i dont get enough ski days in a year, so i just wanna ski totally for fun, and keep improving every time im on the mountain. i just want to be able to do tricks and shit so the people on the chairlift, or little kids skiing next to the park say "wow did you see that?"

in all seriousness.. how can you go that high on a tree without pooping

yeah itd be nice to get free skis but itd suck to Have to go to comps and Have to win and such i started freeskiing cause no one can tell you how to ski when you have sponsors demanding stuff from you all that freedom goes away

wow i'm actually a little surprised at the replies i thought they were all gunna be yes of course, but to be completely honest with you yah i would like to be a pro one day its always been a dream of mine, will it ever happen? i dont know i'm just gunna keep skiin and having fun and we'll se what happens in the future but secretly i think a little part of every skier wants to be pro you know what i mean it isw the dream professional freeskiers are truly living the dream

yeah it would suck to get paid to ski and be able to make a living off of it...... i would much rather work all the time and only ski once maybe twice a week if i'm lucky.... that's like saying you only want to have sex at the most once a month just because it's more fun to think about it than it is to do it

skiing pretty much every single day is about as good as it gets

thats not what he said. i think he meant that it is like when youre eating cake all the time you sometime dont like cake. its just to much. i would like to get sponsored, maybe a "oneskieachyear"-contract but not a full pro. first of all i am not able to do enough workout and dont get enough days on skis, but its alright and i have fun

the best way to go is not be a "pro" but to be a trustfunder who can galavant around the world skiing, surfing and pimping without having to work and compete...being a pro is not easy (especialy if your doing it on your own)...your bumming it daily and dealing with companies who dont care about you...

the most fun you can have skiing is when your doing it for no one but yourself and not for a paycheck

being pro would be awsome, but just like any job it takes alot of dedication and hard work.as of right now i've got my eyes set on the film industry, but i do get alot of days on skis, and in a year from now when i move to BC, you never know what may happen...

I'd feel like I was contradicting myself becoming a tool for some company to market product with by being a pro. I would however, like to have some sort of effect on how skiing is viewed, specifically chick skiing. But yeah, skiing is pretty much all I think about and dedicate my life to...but at this point, it's pretty out of my reach.

if you are a proskiier, you don't have to ski everyday. look at mikael. if was a pro skiier i would ski when i wanted to. i would deffintly do comps and movies. but i didn't feel like skiing one day i wouldn't, thats the beaty of it. you ski so much that you can offord to miss a day of "training"

I'm actually going to really start training this winter. I started to at the end of last year, like I would spend 3 hours just hiking the same jump trying different things and eventually wrecking myself... Haha. But yeah it's really not to be a pro skier it's just to become really good so I can keep up with the comps. I want to enter.

I'd like the skiing part of it but I think I would acctually get sick of the lifestyle. Doing nothing. Just goin to partys like everyday it sounds good but I think it would just get annoying. Still I'm trying to go as far as I can
