Skiing in Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Norway

I'm thinking about going to one of these countries to study for a semester on an exchange program, and I was wondering if any of you could help me decide where to go, Of course I need it to be close to a ski resort with park if possible! :) By the way, I'm going from september until january or february max, so tell me when does snow start there please!

Dude, if you wanna go to Finland, Vaasa isn't definately the best place to be. Sure, there's a shorter way to go to Lapland (resorts like Yllas, Ruka, Pyha, Levi are great) but I'm pretty sure there ain't no good skiing very close, but someone correct me.

Sweden could be a better place to study and ski, I don't know.

The University of Bergen (Universitetet i Bergen) is about an hour by train from a town called Voss (home of Ekstremsportveko (http://www.ekstremsportveko.com/). Voss has a resort with 10 old and slow lifts (although a new express chairlift will come for the 06-07 season), but a lot of fun riding (in my mind). The park usually is far from good, but it is a park. 7 rails and some jumps, of various sizes. It is a resort more known for good freeriding than a good park.

There is also another small resort called Eikedalen, about a half hour by car from Bergen. There's probably some buses going to and from there, but I don't know much about the place.

Sorry about dobbelpost but:

The season in Voss usually doesn't start until around christmas. A couple of years back, they opened on 2nd of november, but that is a rare occurence.

I'll tell you right away that there is NO skiing what so ever in Stockholm or Göteborg. Except maybe there is a samll shitty ass hill with a half assed park a couple of hours away. And definetly nothing in Denmark.

why not consider University in trondheim? the snow gets har around early/mid november, there goes a bus everyday to the local mt with an okay park and some great skiers, 20-30 min away. You can take the train to Ã…re, which is 2 hours away and to Oppdal(nice backcouyntry) which is 2 hours away. Dont go to denmark if you are an skiier mate ;)

Thanks a lot! I'll consider sweden or the states, there's also the possility of going to L.A. and it's like 300 miles away from Mammoth :) which would be like the best, althought it is probably harder to get a free spot in L.A.

The highest point in all of denmark is only 100 ft above sea level, aka no sking. I know I'm danish.
