1080 or scratch cause you dont have to buy their bindings, as you would with line, but lines arent bad

i think u can still put other bindings on to line skis. but performance wise, which one is better? eg: weight, measurement, etc.

scratches cause they aren't foam core like the teneightys and they are a bit stiffer.

My friend put s912's on his Mavericks. They might be a bit weaker but you never know.
Personally, I'm gonna buy the line binding, and then by skis after, but this is between the end of this year and beginning of next (2003)

1260 or the mike nick? the mike nick comes in the perfect size for me, i want a ski that is not too short, like 164 or too long, like 179

alright, i would say scratch or line, i dont like salomons foam core cuase foam shatters. Lines ski line up this year is a little more amped some skis have stayed the same just under diffrent names but the pro modles, mavricks and the mother ships are really teched out. THe scratches are pretty good but to, i find them about the same stiffness as the 1260' or mn pro. As for mounting you can buy lines and not buy the binding, the skis can still be drilled like normal and not loose structural strength. i demoed the new mike nicks and found them highly responsive edge to edge, plenty of pop on the tables and really stable forward and fakie.

scratch because they say that they are for park and pipe but they do REALLY well all over the mountain. They are fatter than most park skis, with the exception of the 1080's. But they 1080s have a foam core which is real weak. scratch all the way bro.

'Foam shatters??' i've had salomons every year and have skied the shit out of them and have never seen one shatter, or break for that matter

Foam isn't as durable, thats for sure, also not nearly as stiff as wood. I tend to like the sandwitch construction on the scratch, even tho the combo of woods on lines and 360 cap is promising. My fav. line ski is the mike nick, and i would love it so much more if it was at least 6 cm taller. Skogens are a different ballgame.

public enemy?- are they k2?
so right now i narrow it down to either the mike nick or the scratch thanx to all whom reply. just last question, i live in the east, so i ski on icy pipe all day and basically no pow. day :(
so which one has more edge grip, i think mike nick has more since it is base to the east condition. i haven't demo any of these skis and don't want to spend too much on a ski that i can't take the fullest potential on it.
how much are the mike nick by the way and does any one owns a pair or the scratch

i would go with the 174 scratch and the binding if u don't mind a little extra weight, cause they come in a package togther(haha i used a cupon and got 15% of mine, only 660) and the scratch bindings are soo sick looking, same with the skis...
Me:You should give me all your money so I can bye the new scratchs
Myles: Why would I want to do that,
Me: If you do I'l let you ride them
Myles: I snowboard
Me: o shit, well I could ummmm.... let you masturbate to the grafics
Myles: o great...

scratches and the new 1080s are the same in the waist at 80mm, but the 1080s have wider tails and tips so i guess they would be better mountainwise, but i dont know too much about foam cores so thc cores so habrhbvaurbvvnd.....

i would buy the Rossignoll GS ski. Its the best race ski out there... jk. I would definately ( and i did) buy scratchs over any other ski. They r just the best. The 1080's are a really great ski also...
