Safe Mode?

My computer was going insane, i think we had large amounts of spyware.. but anyways it would just restart unexpectedly and freeze, so i rebooted it in in 'Safe Mode with Networking' and now everything works fine but it looks like its windows 95 and Windows Media Player doesnt work so i cant listen to music... i just want Windows Media working again, any ideas?

get a spyware program, run it, get an antivirus and run that, if that doesnt work and your sick of the computer just copy all your files and shit and reformat the computer, i did that to my laptop and i am soooo happy. its as fast as it was when i bought it now.
