What the hell is with all of the shit about people being gay? Is everyone homophobic or something? Or is it ok to use because gay people dont ski?


Get the fuck over it. One of my friends, one of the best skiers i know, happens to be gay. Why the hell is everyone so bent on using gay as an insult? i dont mean to lecture anyone, but being gay is something that everyone needs to just accept and be done with it. Screw all the conservative homophobics out there. There are gay people, probably more than you would think. They exist, so accept it and stop being homophobic.

So my point from all of this? Anyone who still uses gay as an insult are people who can to grips with reality. Get over it.

i was working at a home show this ummer, saving up for bindings, and these gay guys that were friends of the owners were watching the house so that ppl wouldnt steal shit. now alone they were ok and chill. but whenever i saw them together, all i heard was either fighting about their relationship or flirting. now to me, thats just wrong

I think it is really stupid when people call other people gay, it's really because of their own insecurity about themselves, so they take it out on others. Many of the people who go around calling people fags, flits, tec. are actually gay themselves, and are too scared to show it or even have someone suspect it, so they think if they're loud and mean and act homophobic then they will throw others off the trail. Anyway, it is stupid, and why did Casper get called gay? I thought those videos were hilarious!!! So yeah, cut back on the derogatory, stupid insults. Get a life, respect other people's choices. I agree totally Rekker, I've been saying that for a while. The people who use it as an insult are the ones immature to consider it one. Nevertheless, it's just something homosexuals have to come to terms with... probably 49 out of 50 people they meet will hate them unconditionally.

personally I think gays and straights shouldn't really be doing relationship stuff in public. for some places, like a party, sure whatever. But when i'm sitting in a philosophy lecture i really don't wanna see ass-ugly couples make out. and some people may have had bad examples in witnessing gay displays of affection because in percentage terms, they're more often sexual. alright, take this for example what my friend heard on the SeaBus between 3 gay guys:

That 'AIDS is the cure for homosexuality' comment was the sickest thing I've heard in quite a while. If you really think that, you need to go out and shoot yourself. One third of Africa is dying from AIDS, and I guarantee that someone you know is dying from it as well. It's not a pleasant thing, and everyone can get it, not just homosexuals. Ok, i've gotten some messages after i started this post, so here are all the answers:

- No, i am not gay. One of my friends IS however (may he remain nameless). If i WAS gay, i would make certian that was apparent. But however, I am not gay, repeat, I myself am not gay. Jeez...

- I know that whatever people say eventually offends someone. However, common decency keeps us from walking down the street screaming 'FUCK!' at the top of our lungs. All I am asking is for a little decency.

- Gays talking to each other is not a crime. If you think its disgusting when they talk to each other, think of what you talk about thats about girls? Do you think they want to hear all of that either? Its called empathy...


I heard some good words today from an english teacher at my school about racism, but can be turned to fit this topic:

Im not saying that. In the two posts i have made, i think its clear to most people that im adressing the way in which 'gay' is used as a durrogatory remark. Thats all, and i just want people to consider what they are saying before they use it so they too can look like a 'cool and sponsored' skier. Man, the problem is that they will just instigate you further with every post you make. They just are here to piss people off... just don't feed the trolls, and all will be well... However, I see your points, and the problem is that 'fag' and other words are ingrained into todays society, they don't really mean gay anymore, they're jujsut a blatant insult.
