okay..i heard on an afi fan site that the new album is supposed to come out this fall...any word on that?

haven't heard but this thread got me excited. I hope it will be more like black sail and less like sing the sorrow but as long as its afi im gonna buy it and enjoy it

i really hope its like the art of drowning...i agree, sing the sorrow wasn't their best..but i'll buy their new cd when it comes out regardless

they keep pushing the date. It was originally set to be already released, but they wanted some more time to refine everything and do it right. I read a few months ago, that they had already came up with over 60 new songs, but are only keeping the best of the best.

Supposedly, it should be out within the next few months.

Last year I managed to see them live for their first and last show for a while... It was unbelievable.
New album is going to be amazing. They are going to do something entirely different and a whole new style. I'm sure it'll have alot of trance,ambience, dark, techno, influence to it..

Afi is pretty uncooth for skiing music, but it pumps me up alot, escpecially "bleed black"

well, anyone who loves rumors should check out some of the afi fan things on myspace...thats where i heard the rumor of a fall release, amung other things. my profiles got aa afi vid in it too. i love afi.

im looking forward to the new sound of A.F.I. too..but definitely not looking forward to the number of gay posts theres going to be on here along the lines of 'selling out', 'changing', 'not punk', 'nelly rules', etc etc...but has anyone heard about about BLAKQ AUDIO!! (side project of davey and jade)

afi makes for some pretty damn good music to ride to.
