I'm a step it up this season and get some longer ski's I'm like 5"9ish jus wondering if you think this will impact my spins butters n rails a whole lot? I've measured it out with a tape measure and it seems a lot bigger, but has anyone done the same thing?

i went from 165 to 179, ull really feel weird the first run, but after a few hours it makes no difference

I started with 165, then I bought 185's, I sold those, because they were a little to long. Now I have 179's, and 184's. It will be harder to spin, but I'll get used to it.

uh yah and if they feel too heavy then just mount em at tru center so they will feel longer. Im gonna remount my Fujis at tru center cause they're 179 and they feel heavy and Im like 5' 5".

because I like pooh.

Actually that's good point, so If I'm riding 177's this year at 5-9ish or so and 170lbs I should mount at centre?

yeah i had 169 pes and moved up to a 179 but mounted them 3cm up from midsole and they feel exactly the same and the 169 and ski just as well but at the same time look way better and allow me to get more steeze on.

Equipment is expensive, and i need lots of new stuff, i love being a poor college student!!!!

i went from a 158 to a 179 fujative @+7.5 and didnt even notice it apart from the extra stability and sickness.

i went from 150 to 180 many years ago (before shaped skis were even invented). so it shouldn't be too hard

bindings are mounted 7.5cm forward of midsole aka core center. sop u get more tail which makes the ski seem shorter

to me it all depends on where u mount them... center, a bit further back... i'm 5'8 /180 pds and have 167 park skis center mounted, they seem a bit too short for me but i'm sure if i get something like 178 or even in the mid 180's i would do ok... wat u guys think?
