Help decide on mp3 player.

right now im lookin at 4 of them...the sondy hd5,the iaudio x5,the creative labs zen touch,and the dell 20g...all i wanna know is if these can take big hard falls and what batteries wont get fucked like ipods

well i want it to be able to take a hit if i take a hard fall i havent taken one yet...but umm right now im lookin at the sony but has anyone herd u have to conver the mp3s toa certain file for it to play or what?

yeah i listened to my ipod everyday, i drop it, i skied with it in 20 below, and the battery life is just as good now as it was a year ago. it's a third generation, but believe what you want.

my bros got a 20g and so far its good but i need something with like arlet 14hr battery life and i think the 20g is only 12 so fuck it

i'm gettin an ipod and i'm soo stoked on it its gunne be dope and looking at all the tech specs and shit i think its deff the best mp3 player on the market right now, just get the 20gb and it'll be good times from then on out haha

ya im thinkin of getting a ipod or a iaudio x5 or the sony hd5...but like what do u guys cover ur ipods in durring the winter to not make the batteries fress cause i love ipods just the batteries arnt to good

^ my i pod stoped working after 60 days.. then they wouldnt help me over the phone because my 60day warrinty thing was up... got it working myself eventullay then a few months later it ws not working again... personly. ipods are kick ass if it works fine. but if u have any trouble with it u are screwd

naw i think u just got screwed over...my friend cracked his screen and he sent it back and he only had a 1 year warrenty and he sent it backa and got a brand new one...but ya im goin with ipod and im just goin to get a ipod sock for it for in the winter and ill be good...maybe ill use 2 ipod socks just incase haha

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

my mini did good with ski season sept the batt would die a couple hours b4 we were done, but now i have a 20gb so im set, 15 hour batt life is true, get the ipod

Out of those, get the iAudio. Have a look at the iRiver H320/H240 too though.

I would definitely consider the any of the iRiver HD players. I have one of last years and it has lasted very well. I have used it skiing, taken falls on it, dropped from 5+ ft onto a hard floor. And the battery runs longer than they advertise. Overall it is a quality player and with it you can avoid and proprietary bullshit that you'll get with iPod.

y do u guys keep posting...im getting a ipod i did some research on the battery and its a li-ion which thats what my phone is and my phone never froze...ever so y should the ipod and plus im gettin a ipod sock to keep it even warmer...and i figured out y all u guys ipods get fucked up...its cause u dont cover it theres metal on the back and when metal gets cold its cold so u gotta cover it...and this will happen in the heat to when u take it in the hot sun for a while the metal on the back will begin to heat and the battery wont work...so in the winter make sure u cover it and it will work fine but in the summer try not to use it for to long in the godly heat
