yes. They are actually really awesome. They arent good if you want a normal iPod replacement but if you want something for skiing, or being active then its awesome. Its so light and easy to use. The no screen isnt a big deal since you don't even need a screen for shuffle.

it has forward, backward, play/pause, volume up, volume down. Then theres a switch for shuffle or play in order.

For what they do they are very good.
I am not an apple fan, but I'm considering getting one for jogging in the morning. They're small, light and have a good capacity.
iTunes seems like a good piece of software aswell.

i got one just for skateboarding and probably skiing, inexpensive and it's the only mp3 player i won't kill it as soon as all the others i have crushed. Anyways, i just put about 250 tunes on it that i really enjoy or have different playlists that long, put it on shuffle then go skate. don't really care too much for any features, just need some music goin through my head

they have a shuffle featur on your ipod itself so i dont see why youd get one, i guess there lighter for joggin and shit and if you only ever heard of what 25 songs?

the really bad quality of their ipod mp3 players, tehy recently lost a mass tort case because the ipods didn't do what they advertised (w/ regards to battery life).

what's the point guys? even my 10 year old sony cd player has a shuffle function. EVERY md/mp3/cd whatever has a shuffle function and nearly everyone has a display...so why do the so much advertising on the shuffle function?

i personally couldn't give less of a fuck about a shuffle function, all i wanted was a small, light, simple mp3 player for cheap that could play a decently sized playlist while i skate, that I wouldn't break like every single other one i've tried.

i have a shuffle, mini, and 3rd gen. 15gb, and love em all for different reasons...shuffle is perfect for really active stuff when you just need music in your ears, and thats it..its the lightest and smallest, yet most basic as far as features go...mini is cool cause its still relatively small and light, but you can carry a shitload more music on it, plus you have the screen, as well as the normal features on the regular ipod (i.e. equalizer, backlight, calender, etc etc)...ipod is great for music freaks who want all their shit on them at once..its still smaller than any discman out there..but the largest of the whole ipod family...all in all if you want tons of music but also want something small and light enough that you wont weigh your coat down..mini is the way to go..plus with the option of 4 or 6 gb in the mini alone, you really have alot of options in the entire ipod family

naw the thing about the ipod shuffle is the battery life. i'm not exaggerating when i say i can go weeks without charging it. i only use my regular ipod in my car now because the battery sucks. the only downside is that its so small it's easy to lose.

i've been looking at the ipod shuffle for awhile but what really caught my attention was a sony 1 gb mp3 player that supposedly has up to 70 hrs of playback on one AAA battery, if that's true it beats the hell out of ipod's battery life

I've heard they are pretty good. Just cheaper alternative to Ipod.
