Yes, I just got one after seeing all my friends using them, and me not wanting to use the tape adapter I had anymore (it didn't work in some of the tape decks I used it in).

Holy fuck these things blow a load of shit. I tried exposing the antena as many people claim fix any problems with it. It STILL blows a load of goat ass. I went as car as to solder a whole new, 10 in long, antena onto it, and it STILL sucks a fat one.

Don't waste your money on one... ever.

i dont have a tape adapter so i got the itrip, well its here but my fuckin ipod is still in alaska, 2 day shipping my ass. but i read reviews on it and the only problem people said was they got a little static if it wasnt on a completely clean freq., i will let you know how it works weds. oh yeah, what are you talking about an antenna for?

oh yeah another random thing, my dads sattelite radio trasmits through fm and it works fine, unless we are driving to canada to snowmobile, theres one part where a local station is close to the frequency so its a little fuzzy, but you can change the frequencey it broadcasts off of.

I think I fixed it though. I have a spare antena laying around, so I attached it

yeah they suck....mine cost 40 bucks. unfortunatly neither of my parents cars or my brother's car has a tape deck. dag, yo. so now I have to burn everything to a fuckin CD and my Cd burner is broken.

my solution works perfectly. i went to my local car audio place and bought a coaxial cable splitter that hooks in to the back of my deck. then i bought a headphone cord and plugged the headphone to dual coax cable into this... instant sound and perfect quality. if you know what you are doing you can install it yourself and the parts are cheap. you can find them for aftermarket or stock radios. if you have any questions about them feel free to ask.

Radio transmitter are shit. A tape adapter is better quality sound. Better still is if you have an input on the front of your headunit, or you can get adapters for some brands that let you use the CD changer input as a line-in. FM modulators are meant to be a lot better quality than the normal iTrip type transmitters - look into it.

My buddy had one the other day in dudes car and it sucked ass .. it was clear just not loud at all fully turned up in the car and the i pod .. our normal cds werre like 40 times louder

i also have a tunecast II. All the wires in the headphone jack broke and it doesnt work anymore. One of my friends iTrips is really shitty and another friends is really sweet.

I think the iTrip is from Griffin technologies... right? I bought a guitar cable from them to record on Garageband for a total of 50$ (shipping included). The product description is VERY clear, saying "just plug one end into your mac and the other into your axe", but the shit doesen't work. So I sent a pissed e-mail to technical support where the guy answered "yes, the product description is more or less accurate". Now he's saying I have to buy an iMic from the same company. Surprise! another 50$. Bitches. Don't buy anything from that company.

I have an Audi, witht eh stock Bose deck, and it has a CD changer in the trunk, and a tape deck up front, and the tape deck quality is fucking HORRID. How hard would it be, to run some sort of line from my mp3 to the back of the deck where the CD changer goes in. is it even possible?

yeah i read a lot of reviews of pissed people saying this stuff about it not charging thier ipod, when if they acually read what is says, it is an fm trasmitter and can be used as a charger (with the right wires). you just need to read that shit carefully (oh yeah, the product wasnt the itrip, it was another type of transmitter.

yes you can, go to crutchfield.com and they have the cables i was talking about for almost any make of car. also, they have splitters that let you use a cd changer and still have an mp3 input running through the same port on you deck. i would check that out.

also, the benefit of the coax style set up like i have is that the sound quality is exactly the same as on the ipod itself.

i have found that my Itrip works better in newer cars. Also, Itrip wont work for me in san diego or LA, yet works fine in Tahoe
