Quick, adjust a salomon binding to the right boot size!

Help, how do I do it, and don't tell me to take it to a shop, they're swamped and don't have the time.

s710 binding, just needs to be made from a 28.5 to a 27.5. I'm fotgetting one key factor

Help!

there is a screw on the heel piece, pop the binding up and you should see it.





I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

theres a lil metal plate in the heel. stick a key or screwdriver under it and pry it up and slide the heel

Nope, snapjibber was right. I figured it out on my own. That what I had been doing since last night, but I hadn't ever changed the size so it slid super bad and I thought I wasn't unscrewing something too. But no worries, all set. Thanks.

yeah snapjibber is right, on rossi bindings its the whole screw thing but on salomons you pop up the little metal thing then slide it foward probably 2 clicks

WRONG...thats the din setting

salomon bindings have a small tab under the heel piece ...lift and push

test you foward pressure by placing your boot in the binding and looking at the little nipple comming out of the vertical surface on the rear of the heel piece...should be fush...if it sticks out its too loose if its sticks in its too tight...

now check for toe height...you should be able to slide a buisness card under the toe piece AFD...then tighten the sidewings and hope you did it right

I liked my rossignol ones, you could adjust them on the charlift just take you ski off move the binding and skii one ski don the off ramp, The salomons, were aalmosyt impossible to change

what are you talking about when you say the "little nipple" on the back of the heelpiece? you're not talking about the DIN screw are you? I'm using 810ti's and wanna make sure they're done right, thanks.

sorry if i sound dumb. i know what a forward pressure indicator is because i adjust look/rossis all the time. but i'm not sure what exactly i'm looking for here on the salomons. if you could be a little bit more descriptive about what the indicator looks like/where exactly it is, i'd appreciate it. thanks.

it may be on the sides of the heel piece marked in white lines....some salomons are dif than others...

its not rocket science...just play it by feel

just be careful not to have it too tight

i lost my PCL due to improper binding settings....I maxed out a set of demo bindings and cartwheeled out of chimney sweep at squaw---not good

look down the tail of the ski and there should be alitte srcew there, insert screwdriver, twist to desired length, remember, righty tighty and lefty loosy

It's Marker that uses the screw indicator that has to be flush (maybe some cheap Salomons too, but I've never seen it).

The indicator on most Salomons is an arrow on the piece the heelpiece connects to, and the heelpiece itself has a recess about half a cm long on it. When you put your boot in the binding the heelpiece will slide back. If your forward pressure is set right, the arrow will point to somewhere in the recess.

It's not too hard to get the forward pressure right just by trying a few settings though. The lengths are about half a cm different so just make sure it doesn't look far too long or short when you're snapping your boot in.
