so yeah, i was just wondering if you guys had any reccommendations on what are some good schools. I'm interested in environmental sciences, i'm a pretty good student, i want to be near skiing, and it has to be liberal. Also don't say UVM because it's a sick school but i live here and want to try something new.. anythign would help, thanks

UBC, UCB, U of U seem to be the popular choices for skiing purposes. All three are top 50 schools I believe... at least I know two of them are. I'm pretty sure they all feature cheap passes somehow or other as well. Season pass at whistler for UBC students = 389$ Canadian... someone from CO or Utah could probly quote you the others.

Dude, my roommate is from Middlebury.
Anyway for Colorado: CU, CSU, Ft. Lewis, Western State, and Adams State probably have the best Environmental Science programs. There is also CC if you are looking for a serious liberal arts college, but its expensive as hell if you can’t land a scholarship. Ft. Lewis is also a liberal arts college. CU and CSU have the largest variety of courses.
For proximity to skiing, WS and the Fort are 10 to 20 minutes from the closest mountain. Adams and Mesa are about 30 minutes to an hour. DU is about an hour. CU is about 1 to 1.5 hours to the nearest hill. CSU, CC, and UNC require longer commutes.

i went to Midd for a semester and then transfered. It is really close to skiing and it has it's own ski hill which is sweet.

Check out Bishops. Its not far from where you live, maybe 2 hour drive. Plus the tuition will be cheaper, Plus its the most kickin place to get an education, Plus its a liberal school with enviromental science programs. You know you want it. Just do youself a favor and check it out.

Isn'y middlebury real expensive? I live like 20 mion from there. They got that tiny mountain called the Snow Bowl. That's where i took lessons when i was a wee lad.
Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.
