whats up guys,
im doing an opinion peice for my journalism course on all the hate that is around skiing, anyone have any examples of it? that they'd like to share? any verbal or physical abuse because of what your wearing on your feet? reply fast, im writing it as we speak!

snowboarders, dropping into the pipe before me just because I have skis on and snowboarders get priority because thats what the pipe was made for

I think that there is too much controversy about style...which kind is good or which is bad. People need to lay off tanner for his 'gorrila' style. He is one of the best and i think people are just jelous of him, so they try to find something wrong with him and make fun of it. make your style your own, don't dis on others.

there was a skier who got beat up really bad in vail last year because he told a group of snowboarders that they shouldn't be skiing out of bounds in the area where they were unless they have sufficient equipment

it cool to warn people about conditions or possible hazards that you know of, but if you just being dumb and telling them what they should or shouldn't do yeah your gonna piss people off. but they had no right to beat him, all they hadto do was flip him the finger and yell fuck you!

in my home town noones ever said anything. Once when I was at Louise last year, I hit an icey patch on the wall and went up.. up, and then down haha, on my head, knocked me out. this is after I'd been throwin some good stuff already for the past two hours and was just gettin tired. Anyways, some little bitche boarders (as i woke up) said from the chair 'the pipe's for boarders, get out fag, you suck', I laughed and said I'd take them to school anyday. I hiked up and waited for them but they never showed of course. Didn't expect them to, but w/e. other than that boarders have been pretty receptive towards me and the other skiers out here.
Don't you notice that at bigger hills nobody helps or stops if someone gets hurt. It's weird, wouldn't you stop to see if they were alright? Liek when i was knocked out I was at the pipe myself cause my friends took lunch but I wasn't hungry so kept skiing. No one helped, two people actually dropped in and jumped around me someone told me. One person asked me if I was ok after, they asked me what i was doing at Louise and I didn't know hahaha. In my hometown people offer help right away. From the chair I even saw some old lady crash and wasn't moving, people just kept going, i was shocked. w/e

some little snowboarder tried to tell me i was wrecking the ghetto ass rail setup at my hill once, it was funny, he as trying to start a fight.

um...I don't really have any probs with snow boarders. Like if I get good air the always give me props. that one thing of I love about my moutain, every one always stoked when u do good! well, one time a snowboarder threw a snowball at me from the lift but missed. He laughed I just stared at him like he was an idiot...

I give props and respect snowboarders but some are really ignorant. But can you really blame them... Yes but I mean we did the same thing to them when their sport was relatively new, were participating in a new sport and its just gettin heckling from everyone same as boarding did. So what can you really do... I suppose go stomp a huge booter or a pipe run and shut all them up.

Snowboarders can be jurks or they can just be people engoying what they want to do! I ski with a snowboarder and he has a lot of friends that snowboard so i don't really have a prob with them
