Telemark question

Can I put telemark bindings on any kind of ski? I was wondering why there are specific skis for telemarketing if you could put telemark bindings on any kind of ski?

you can put tele's on pretty much any ski, it will work. BUT some are much better than others. If you are going to do that look for a soft flex ski and not super long, maybe with a little side cut. If you like your knees maybe ask somebody in a ski shop to help you out!

um yea, mount tele bindings on anything. itll work fine. but there is a reason they make tele skis. depending on how hard you charge you might want a soft flex or a stiff flex. if you like turning and jumping, you want soft. if you like going really fast and dont want shitty noodles under your feet when your doin somethin crazy, get stiff skis. i like to ride tele sticks stiff. gives you more control i think. but yea, you could mount em on snowblades if you wanted. they go on anything.

yes.

i center mount my twintip skis (I use Line, Rossi, Salomon) for telemark skiing.

like AK said, you can mount them on anything if you want, but a lot of tele skis are made softer, and with better and more unique topsheets. And don't call it telemarketing, you'll get made fun of.

in my opinion stiffer skis are best for tele in the park, simply because when landing switch you really gotta have your weight on your heels, and you don't want a noodly ski to just wash out on you.

yeah i hate soft skis, cuz on tele you really can't distribute your weight as easily, you need something that can flex without dying

stiff skis can be great once you know what the hell you're doing. but not as easy to learn on, easier to catch an edge on. he probably won't be going crazy in the park his first season.

dude, its way cooler than alpine. by far. im still not all for park tele'ers, but who cares, they fuckin rip. not a smart idea to rag on tele skiers buddy. specially when they can school you.....damn i bet that hurts.
