cool set of riders (exculding dyvbig) all DYNASTAR. except pollard. made by iberg, so there was cool music, editing etc. and its one of the only movies where desch has a segment over 2 and a half minutes.

i once wrote a reveiw saying it was the worst movie ever, but since i have grown up i have reliezed just how good it really is. the editing is amazing and it just looks ahead of its time. eric pollard and mics parts are by far the best but larose and belanger have sick parts to. deffinitly get it!

Royalty is a fucking amazing movie, still one of my favorites overall. It's hard to really sum it up briefly but it was just remarkably ahead of it's time largely in that it emphasized smooth, fluid, incredibly styled out tricks at a time when skiing was still arguably something of a huckfest. On top of that it had a very chilling soundtrack consisting mostly of good hip hop and had a very good overall flow to it. It was made in 2001 by Iberg.

agreed 100% Royalty is on the list of best ski movies EVER made. go watch propoganda and royalty back to back. they are both from the same year. the riding in royalty is sooooo much cleaner. most of it would not look too out of place in a 2005 film (well, cept all the lui kangs haha). haha, im gonna go watch that movie now in fact lol. and like a few others said, the first few times i watched this movie, i thought it was kinda borring, cause its so mellow. but once you WATCH it, its sick. and Pollard, what can you say. he is amazing. alot of younger kids dont really think of pollard as a park skier, but waatch him. his opening segent is a line through the mammoth rail park, 7 rails in a row, like half of them unnaty. there is also a shot of him on a c rail, (in the yellow/white jacket) that is probably my favorite, most stylie shot ever filmed. this movie is amazing.

im sure it was very good for its time because iberg was in charge of the editing. but i just dont like that style of skiing. way to much straight up, hands in the air, lui kangs and such.

^you're entitled to your own opionion (thank you VERY much democracy) but I think you're wrong. Please do not be offended by what I've just said for I am hammered and as such my mild mannered ways tend to go right out the window. Yes I agree that perhaps certain aspects of this movie are not in keeping with todays accepted style of skiing (i.e. the aformentioned abundance of liu kangs and the like), but I would argue that the overall flow and style of this movie, especially when considering the time it came out, cannot be contested.

yeah i guess i really didnt emphasize that i thought the editing/flow/music would be super dope becaue of iberg. just not a fan of the style of skiing. if only it could be redone today with iberg and the same crew.`
