Help with new powerbook

so i keep trying to download a 'MacBinary' (im trying to get Windows Media Player for OS X) and it keeps opening up as computer jargon in Excel. What am I doing wrong here, ive only had this thing a couple days. thanks all.

Where are you getting this "MacBinary"?

I have never heard of that, but it sounds like a compressed file- you probably don't have the right program to unzip it. Look on Google.

if your are trying to get windows media player go here

Just click download now and install it. I dont think you need macbinary

yeah but also u might need to download stuffit expander because macs still cant read some shit and u just drag the file in there and it will let u download it to ur powerbook

should have stuffit on there, but if not, download it.

also, dont get win media player for mac. get VLC player or Mplayer

you will be happy you did.

im pretty sure i just installed microsoft office and media player was with it and works fine.

but i highly suggest using quicktime whenever possible on mac.
