My buddy worked at a provincial park here in Ontario and a body washed up on a beach there. They had to cover the cadaver with a tarp and it was a windy day and later he had to pick up the tarp and it blew on him and he was like 'argghhhhh'

I hadn't even turned around,pulled my pants down,or sat down.I was vomiting, pooing everywhere,pissing and crying all at the same time.

ugh, it was so bad, i was walking out of my friends apartment in Boston, only to look up and see a guy jumping off a building, and landing like, 500 feet in front of us... i still have nightmares about it. dead bodies though, i think ive seen a couple, only for a few seconds though, because by them i freaking out and closing my eyes

yeah, another EMT here. I've seen my share of dead people in EMS, but me and my friends also found a guy floating in a river once. It really is two totally different things. I barely think about it when im at work, I guess because when you have a code you get a little tunnel vision and block out everything but what you have to do. Finding one on my own was just plain weird.

Oh, and on the topic, becoming a tech was probably the sweetest thing ive ever done, so anyone remotely interested should look into it, its really easy to become certified

i saw 2 guys die in the span of about 25 minutes 2 years ago in pannorama. I didn't know they died at the time though. i found out the next day. Now i will always wear a helmet when i ski.

i've seen a bunch of cadavers. i think about 10. we went to one in bio last year (10th grade) where we got to pull out to organs and stuff. then i've gone twice to see a bunch of cadavers up a CU. its not like seeing a dead person though, it is just different.

i haven't but my dad came up on a wreak on the highway where a motorcycle and a car hit head on at 60 mph and he got out of his car (he was the second car at the scene after the cops showed up) and he walked kinda down twards the river and found the motorcylclist head he said he almost puked at the site

Jodi, that ois disgusting. I know how powerful the Whirlpool is. It's just a ginat graveyard there because the current is just so tremendous. I think it is the most powerful natural whirlpool in the world, and only very specially built watercraft can go by it due to its power. And ya, Niagara Falls is a huge suicide place. mainl because it is sure death. If you go over the falls, there is no way in hell that you will survive. (Barrel stunt guys not included)

i have only seen them in funerals, but my dad has witnessed about 5 fatal car crashes. every single one he was the first one there. he saw one like last month were some guy was partially ejected and the car rolled on top of him. my dad said his head was completely crushed and he was his brain come out of his skull

this is a rather dark thread guys....but i think it can serve a purpose..i am a paramedic student, had my first eperiecne with death 2weeks ago..worked a 15 year old kid thrown 150 feet in a hit and run..let me tell you, doin CPR for 30 mins and watching a kid die is not fun. But it changes your perspective on life, makes you pretty damn thankful for what you got, and makes you realize how damn lucky we all are. Know how we all bitch abotu shitty snow when it gets icy, or how if it's all tracke dup we get pissed off? well there is no such thing as a shitty snow day when you are dead. thank God for every day you are alive.

a friend of mine discovered a missing person floating in a quarry outside town. it turned out to be this lady who got murdered by her son a few weeks prior...

I’ve seen a couple of fatal car crashes but this one time some lady speeds by us going about 40 over the speed limit and my dad says 'some day that lady is gonna kill herself' and sure enough about 30 miles down the road she flipped her car and they were pulling her body out when we drove by

Ya my dad used to be a paramedic up near nelson B.C.. saw alot of people get splatered on the cliffs. But he wasn't bothered by that, but he ended up quiting when he had to clean up this double murder suicide in this hotel room which had resulted from this bizare love triangle. scary shit.

Yeah

I was disturbed by the bodies in the road. They were just lying there in the rain. Thinking more precisely it was in Ecuador (I confused Quito and Lima for a second) the worst bit was that it was the central reservation of a busy road in the town). Saw a bum smashed under a tram in Austria too and a guy that had been launched out of his car on an alpine motorway......he was under a sheet and his feet were poking out - too much

Was bothered as I didn't do anything (move them etc) so I posted this thread.

I've seen two... the first was a kid on my soccer team, during practice his heart just gave out (he was borne with one valve instead of two, they found out later) and he just pitched over after we got done running. We did CPR until the ambulance came, but it was no good.

The second was when my Boy Scout troop was camping in the Snake River Canyon. Some drunk guy missed the curve in the road as it goes down a grade in the canyon wall, and went straight over a cliff. It was hella scary and hella loud, we watched this pick-up truck go end over end down this huge rock slope. We called 911 and hiked up to see what we could do. The guy had been thrown out of the car and was basically cut in half. It was really, really gruesome.

i was babysitting for some family in brazil, and i didnt speak much portugese at the time. at like 9, when the kids were asleep, this maid from the apartment next door came over and she was crying. i was told not to let her come in. so i told her she neede to go somewhere else. and then i heard she went back into her apartment, then i heard screams. so i went out onto the balcony and looked into the next apartment and then looked down to the ground (the apartment was on the 15th floor) and there was a big splatter of blood and guts and nasty shit like that. then i called the police. and it turns out she was extremely mentally ill and that she had jumped because the dude she worked for wouldnt fuck her.

i might have, im not sure yet. last weekend me and my dad were driving to his house and we went by a house where a guy was giving cpr to a body, there were paramedics there too.

yea ive seen my fair share of scary stuff, i ski patrol at winter park. damn, some pretty sick stuff. for anyone who knows what cramner is, it is a really fast, rolling slope. it was the end of the season and these little kiddies were up there on a feild trip and they got bored so they thought it would be fun to take some padding from a lift pole and go sleeding down on cramners. the run kinda dog legs to the right. so they (3 girls and 3 guys) hopped on the large pad for a ride. so they picked up speed like nothing i've ever seen, and 2 guys bailed out when they were going about 30 mph or so. then the pad was estimated at going 65-70 mph about 1/4 mi. down the run. the 3 girls and 1 guy slammed into the trees about 1/2 mi. down the run, killing all instantly. there injuries were, the most gruesome thing i've ever seen, all injured beyond recognition. i was the first responder and, yea, i puked before i did anything. nuf said.

this is terrible

like these stories i can KIND of picture. a lot of stuf i didn't know, like that niagra falls thing.

i can't say i've seen a dead body, i dont think. i was unloading for a dj job, and i saw a deer get hit by a car like softly. well it got hurt, limped off the road going crazy, then limped back on and got it head on very fast moving car. it slammed on its brakes, but it was too late and the dear got it, very loud, flew in the air, went BEHINd the car, and landed so hard. it was awful, my mom started crying and stuff (she was there helpimg me unload) it musta messed the guys car up so bad, and the deer was still alive a litle bit, making it so much worse.

but that's like nothing compared to some of your stories...
